I am a spatial data professional in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I am especially interested in the intersection between the human and natural environments as revealed by both satellite- and ground-based information sources. Modern scientific satellites such as Landsat, Terra, and Suomi NPP among others provide consistent baselines against which to measure changing realities on the Earth's surface while demographic and other ground-truth data contribute an unmistakably human side to the picture. My eye is drawn to the interesting details; the unique features that make a place that place and no other.
